The color for repainting vinyl siding should be a shade lighter or the same as the original color (Darker colors are not recommended on vinyl since the heat of the sun can cause it to warp because lighter colored vinyls do not have the same thickness of product)

Do not apply when the relative humidity is above 85% or if the temperature is expected to drop below 5°C (41°F) within 4 hours of application.

Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dirt, grease, soap scum, dust, and other contaminants. Previously painted surfaces should be washed with 3 tablespoons of TSP in one gallon of warm water. Rinse with a damp cloth and wait until the wall is dry before sanding the surface with 80- to 120-grit sandpaper. Remove sanding dust before applying paint. Do not apply if the temperature is below 10°C (50°F).
