Préparation de surface

Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dirt, grease, soap residue, dust, and other contaminants. Previously painted surfaces should be washed with 3 tablespoons of TSP in a gallon of warm water. Rinse with a damp cloth and wait until the wall is dry before sanding the surface with 80- to 100-grit sandpaper. Remove sanding dust before painting. Do not apply if the temperature is below 10°C.

If you scrape, sand, or remove paint containing lead, you can create lead dust. Lead is toxic. Exposure to lead dust can cause serious illnesses, such as brain damage, especially in children. Pregnant women should also avoid exposure. Wear a respirator approved for lead exposure control. Clean with a damp mop or HEPA vacuum.
