For projects requiring longer drying times, such as floors and stairs. Also facilitates application in warm temperatures or low humidity.

  • Add the retarder to the dye or varnish. Let it sit for 15 minutes before using the mixture.
  • Water-based dye (TEW): add a maximum of 30% retarder.
  • Hybrid stain seals, tints and varnishes (SAM-301 to 319): add a maximum of 4% retarder.
  • Water-based varnish and hybrid varnish: add a maximum of 2% retarder.
