Teindre vos portes en bois avec la teinture SamaN

Dye your wooden doors with SamaN stain

1st step: Strip your wooden doors

Before applying a finish to your wood door, it is important to make sure the surface is bare wood. If this is not the case, it will be necessary to strip it first.

2 nd step: Sand your wooden doors

Prepare your surface to eliminate irregularities. You can sand with fine sandpaper (120-150) to obtain a smooth surface. You should always work with the grain of the wood.

3rd step: Prepare the mixture

The 35 colors of SamaN water-based dyes can be combined according to the desired proportions to create an infinite number of colors. These recipes are easy to make. All you have to do is mix the two colors in the proportions indicated on the chart using the graduated container provided in your SamaN mixing kit (60-003).

4th step: Test the color

The color illustrated may vary depending on the preparation (sanding) and the type of wood. We advise you to first carry out a test on a hidden part of the surface to be dyed.

5th step: Apply the stain

You can now apply stain to the surface of your cabinet doors or furniture. You can use SamaN's water-based stain which is designed to only need to apply one coat and achieve the desired color.

Application using the SamaN sponge included in application kit 60-002 is the most economical method. It is imperative to stir the dye vigorously so that there is uniform dispersion of the pigments. Pour a small amount of dye onto the sponge included in the SamaN dye kit and wipe off any excess with the soft, clean cloth. Leave to dry for 1 hour.

You have now restored your door, which will make the whole neighborhood jealous. In a few easy steps, you will have a superb door that brings out all the natural beauty of the wood thanks to the SamaN stain.
